Toni Billick 2010
I received my BFA in Ceramics with a minor in Sculpture at the University of Akron, Myers School of Art. I was born and raised in Good Year Heights of Akron Ohio. Akron was once considered the Rubber City Capital and is full of old industrial space. My performative and sculptural work is influenced by this industrial space and new hobbies of roller derby. Current work speaks on the rise of the raunch culture.

I am currently seeking my MFA at the University of South Florida and I am a teachers assistant for John Byrd. I intern at Flight 19 that is operated by the artists collective Experimental Skeleton and I work at the Contemporary Art Museum. Recent scholarships received were for Paris and London study abroad program during the summer of 2008. Organizations I participate in are N.C.E.C.A., SOFA, NOLA fired up, The Artist of Rubber City co-opp, The Female Chauvinist Pigs, and I am the president of The Masters of Fine Arts Organization.
